A Sydney Anglican musician is relaunching his band and looking to resource churches with a new and effective music ministry.

Singer and songwriter Richard Beeston, who has been performing full-time with his band for the last three years, has a new strategy to help churches maximise evangelistic opportunities.

Under the new band name, ‘All Mankind’, Beeston will work with Anglican churches in Sydney next year to put on evangelistic events designed to bridge the gap between the broader community and the church community.

“It’s often difficult to get a bridge between the two communities and connect them,” Richard says.

“These are premium quality, professional events, designed to be outsider-friendly and used by churches specifically for outreach.”

Richard’s new approach will see the outreach events integrated into a church’s mission strategy.

“The concerts are not just a ‘flash-in-the-pan night’, they fit in with what is happening at the church,” Richard says

“Each event will be advertised through allmankind.net and other websites. Our promo pack has flyers, DVDs, posters, and guidelines for promoting the event through local media, schools and universities. ”

The change in direction has come as a direct result of Richard’s time in the USA.

“Over the last 3 years, we have toured Australia, the UK and USA and have seen a lot of outreach concerts that don’t work and a few that do,” he says.

While in Nashville, Richard worked with some of the top Christian promoters and musicians to come up with his new strategy.

“I was very impressed with their ideas for how to put on highly effective outreach events in communities,” he says.

The change in Richard’s focus is also reflected in the name of his band, who now go by the name of All Mankind.

“We want to be a band focused on reaching all people. We want people to know, ‘We have a strategy in place and want to partner with you to share the great news of Jesus with the world’.”
