St Stephen’s, Willoughby’s assistant minister, Steve Morrison continues to moonlight as a musician, releasing his new CD, So Quiet, at The Basement on August 16. “There was a great vibe,” said Mr Morrison. “The audience was really excited to be there.”

Veteran jazz musician Jeff Duff joined the stage on vocals and is also featured on the CD. Hundreds of fans attended the release, which was a good crowd for a Thursday night, according to Mr Morrison.

“It’s always great fun to make music and watch others enjoy it, but I’d rather be telling people about Jesus,” Mr Morrison says.

The concert was opened by his good friend Dave Halls, and included an instrumental version of the hymn ‘Amazing Grace’.
