Former RTA project manager Peter McCoy is using his retirement years to contribute to St Paul’s, Carlingford’s latest church plant.
The 62-year-old who retired two years ago and has attended St Paul’s since 1969 decided to utilize his skills in management to assist the leadership of the Baulkham Hills North Anglican Church plant which commenced meeting at Baulkham Hills North Public School in May.
“I’ve always been involved in ministry so when I retired I saw the opportunity to help out with something like this and spend more time at it,” Mr McCoy says.
Mr McCoy has been involved in the planning stages of the plant since August 2006. He assists St Paul’s assistant minister and congregation leader the Rev James Davidson.
“My aim is to do most of the administrative stuff which free James up for preparing his preaching. I have found it very fulfilling,” Mr McCoy says.
