Rick Warren stunt?
Purpose-driven pastor Rick Warren will preach to 15,000 North Koreans next year. While it appears to be a PR stunt by the Government, A Voice of the Martyrs spokesman said ‘to have that good news preached in such a dark land is a wonderful development.’

Christians still in fear
Afghanistan’s Christian community is living in terror since convert Abdul Rahman fled to Italy after receiving the death penalty. These events triggered such an uproar locally that Christians fear the Government will kill any who speak out, Newsday reported.

China arrests leader
The head of one of China’s largest house church networks has been jailed for seven and a half years, Hong Kong’s RTHK radio reports. Zhang Rongliang was convicted of crossing a border illegally. Zhang has been tortured in the past, according to Amnesty.

Secular morals taught
Churches in Kerala are holding special prayers to protest a new bill by the Indian State’s Communist Government which restricts Christian instruction in schools. Communist student activists attacked and extensively vandalised several Christian-run colleges .
