Photographs of the bashing of 10 Vietnamese pastors and other local Christians have been released by Voice of the Martyrs (VOM). VOM says they were bashed by police and hired thugs after officials in Ho Chi Minh City tore down a Mennonite house church.

Pastor murder pattern
Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) has condemned the latest ‘brutal’ murder of a preacher in India. Pastor Prem Kumar’s murder in Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh, follows a similar pattern to the recent murders of three other Christian leaders in the region

China condemned
In a move that New Jersey Republican Chris Smith declared as “unprecedented, but wholly appropriate” the US House of Representatives has condemned Beijing for rising religious persecution. Last month saw the arrest of a further 28 house church pastors

Kids sold as slaves
A militant Islamic organisation based in Pakistan is funding its activities through the sale of Christian children into slavery, according to Barnabas Fund. Gul Khan is said to abduct children between the ages of six to 12 from their homes.
