Church attacks
Two people died and nearly 20 others were injured following an attack on three Coptic churches in Alexandria, Egypt, on Good Friday. Copts have rejected the Egyptian Government’s claim that the attacks were simply the act of a mentally unbalanced individual.

Easter ransack
Gangs allegedly linked to a Hindu organisation have invaded two separate Easter church services near Bantwal, India, assaulting a minister and ransacking the properties. Musical instruments, amplifiers, seats and lights were destroyed.

Illegal sermons
An Uzbek official has accused the local Pentecostal Church of illegal missionary activity, reports Pravda. Bekhzod Kadyrov singled out Pentecostal Church missionaries for preaching in the Uzbek and Tajik languages in order to convert local Muslims.

New life in Iraq
Iraq is experiencing a Christian revival, reports The Boston Globe. Attendance is booming at St George’s, Baghdad, Iraq’s only surviving Anglican Church. It is reported that Al Qaeda has put a price on the head of the rector, Canon Andrew White.
