CLERGY CHANGES

A lifetime’s legacy

After 28 years, Bruce Ballantine-Jones will retire as rector of Jannali and from most of his official diocesan commitments this month. However, he hopes to continue as deputy chairman of the Glebe Administration Board.
Bruce was ordained in 1971 and served in Caringbah and Concord North before moving to Jannali.

There were no other clergy changes this month.

GENERAL APPOINTMENTS

New face at SDS front desk

Lorna Cookson started full-time with the Sydney Diocesan Secretariat in August and is the main face on the front reception desk at SDS in St Andrew’s House.
Lorna enjoys her job and the contact she has with people in the Diocese and the public.  “I enjoy meeting and greeting people and if I can answer their questions, it really makes my day,” she says.
Lorna attends the Maori Anglican Fellowship (Te Wairua Tapu) in Redfern.
