Christian movie tour of four remote Tanzanian villages has led to a mini-revival culminating with a local book stall selling out of Bibles.
CMS missionary Liz Burns reports that the areas of Lusahunga and Biharamulo were ‘spiritually poor’ before she travelled there with a team of eight evangelists to show the Jesus Film. Over 1500 people saw the film and heard explanations of the narrative. Immediately afterwards some made a public sign that they had turned to Christ.
Liz followed the screenings with talks in the villages. Over 200 people attended these sessions and nearly 300 people purchased Bibles. The team also left Bible study materials at each village.
