MOVES
The Rev Matthew Snelson will take on the position of curate-in-charge at St Chad’s, Putney on October 29. He has served as the assistant minister at Panania since 2004.
Blacktown’s Sudanese Anglican pastor, the Rev Bernard Suwa, is heading home after being appointed Executive Director of Across - the key interdenominational Christian mission organisation in Sudan. He was previously the assistant minister at Christ Church, Blacktown since 2004.
The Rev Chris Burgess will become the rector of St Philip’s, Eastwood on October 31. He has served as the rector of Windsor since 1999.
The Rev Andrew Burr will take on the position of rector at St George’s, Bluff Point, in Geraldton, which is in the Diocese of North West Australia. He has served as the curate-in-charge of Putney since 2000.
DEATHS
The Rev Harry Ctercteko passed away on the 31 August. He served with CMS in the Northern Territory from 1942 to 1945 and was the rector of the parishes of Canley Vale with Cabramatta, Port Kembla and Botany. He also occupied other chaplaincy roles. His most recent appointment was as rector of Sans Souci from 1960 to 1983.
