Churches’ first female president

Deaconess Margaret Rodgers was elected president of the NSW Council of Churches on June 3, the first woman in the role.

“I would like to encourage the council to continue its work of pronouncing the gospel to the community, and particularly providing a Christian voice on community issues,” she said.
