Interesting position requiring more than Accountancy!

Robert Menzies College welcomes applications for the full-time position of Bursar in succession to the present incumbent who is retiring.

The Bursar’s chief task is to facilitate the work, growth, and ministry of the College.

RMC is an Anglican residential college for more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate student members from over thirty-five different nations and is affiliated with Macquarie University, Sydney.

The Bursar reports to the Master and works closely with the senior executive team in the achievement of the Company’s goals and Mission.  The range of responsibilities include financial and human resource management, member and guest services, conferences, food services, asset and property management, OH&S, marketing, property development and special projects. An experienced team comprising of the College Accountant, Member Services and Conferences Manager, Chef Manager, and Maintenance Manager provides support for this role.
The Bursar has a vital working relationship with the Company Secretary, and is Secretary to the Finance Committee of the RMC Board. 

The Bursar must have appropriate tertiary qualifications; a record of achievement in the commercial, business or educational sectors; evidence of excellent analytical, financial, interpersonal and organisational skills; a demonstrated ability to delegate and encourage responsibility taking whilst maintaining strong control; and clear personal commitment to the achievement of the Christian vision and mission of the College.
