John Piper’s wife will join him at the Oxygen conference to be held in August.

Noël Piper will present two electives at Oxygen 11, entitled ‘Faithful Women. Faithful God’. The electives are aimed at pastor’s wives as well as women in full-time ministry.

She'll speak about the joys and struggles of wives supporting their husbands in ministry and address issues, which face women in full-time ministry.

While Oxygen is ‘the national pastors and leaders conference’, attendees have been encouraged to bring their spouses along as the conference will be an encouragement to them also.

“Noёl has been married to John for over 40 years and brings a unique view on being a ministry wife,” said KCC Chairman, Al Stewart. “She will be a great encouragement as she speaks to women involved in ministry, both married and single.”

The importance of giving church leaders the opportunity to attend the conference has been acknowledged by theological colleges around Australia.

To give their students and lecturers the opportunity to attend the conference, Sydney Missionary and Bible College, Moore Theological College (Sydney), Morling College (Sydney) and Queensland Theological College have all cancelled lectures or scheduled research weeks over the conference period.

“It is great to see Bible colleges scheduling time for their students to attend Oxygen,” Mr Stewart said. “It is a recognition of the potential this conference has for encouraging leaders around the country both paid and voluntary, present and future.”
