Anglican Media’s web team has announced a new, ‘logical’ online address for the Sydney Anglican Network Portal - http://www.sydneyanglicannetwork.net.

As part of its continuing strategy to simplify access to the web resources of the diocese, Anglican Media has changed the Network portal’s address to reflect its designation.

“We feel it’s better to have an address that reflects what people are actually looking for,” says New Media manager Mark Hadley.

The Sydney Anglican Network portal is a collection of all of the online resources that are provided by diocesan and associated organisations. It also provides an easy to use search engine for finding congregation information, including local web sites.

The Sydney Anglican Network portal can be reached by clicking on the link provided on the right hand of black network bar (the SAN bar) that sits on the top of every page on Anglican Media sites, and numerous sites throughout the diocese.

“The significant use of the SAN bar throughout the diocese means that the Sydney Anglican Network portal will continue to be heavily linked to,” explains Mr Hadley.

“This will ensure it retains its standing with search engines like Google, which a majority of web users use to find the page.”
