Two evangelical churches affiliate with Sydney

The Lakes Evangelical Church and Maitland Evangelical Church are now affiliated with the Sydney Diocese, under the Affiliated Churches Ordinance 2005.

Connect 09 management committee

Standing Committee passed the Connect 09 Amendment Ordinance 2007, to establish a management committee to oversee the implementation of the Connect 09 evangelistic initiative. The committee is responsible for preparing a strategic plan for Connect 09 and approving the payment of any expenses incurred in implementing Connect 09, subject to any limits or conditions set by the Standing Committee.

Parramatta property has new trustee

Standing Committee elected the Property Trust as the new trustee of 45 Hunter Street, Parramatta after Anglicare resigned from the trusteeship of the property. The property is held on trust for the purposes of the parish of Parramatta.

New elections

Standing Committee elected Mr Ian Burrows to the Arden Anglican School Council, and Mrs Vanessa Goodhew to the Council of the Illawarra Grammar School. Mr Trevor Ratcliff, Mr John Creelman and Mr Duncan Li were also elected to the Mission Property Committee. The Rev Dr David Hohne and the Rev Tony Payne were appointed to the Sydney Diocesan Doctrine Commission.
