The Jesus all about Life campaign, cross-cultural ministries, Anglicare and people from all regions will be the target of the fourth Connect09 prayer day on Friday. To be held in the Chapter House next to St Andrew’s Cathedral, Archbishop Jensen has urged as many people as possible to come along. “The last Prayer Day, organised by the Mother’s Union, was simply brilliant. Those who were there agreed to do it again and I am hoping they have taken the message into their regions and invited many others.” said Dr. Jensen.

The Archbishop, regional bishops, and the Connect09 team will help facilitate the praying. The Archbishop will lead off at 10 am, and there’ll be information on cross-cultural outreach particularly to Chinese, Sudanese, muslim and indigenous groups.

Daniel Willis from the Bible Society will lead prayer for the Jesus All About Life campaign which starts in September. Connect09 is partnering with Jesus All About Life in running a series of events for CBD workers (details next week on sydneyanglicans.net and at inspiringpeople.com.au)

Connect09 Executive director Andrew Nixon says “the CBD events are something new and exciting. We hope that people will be attracted to hear our panels of prominent people. These are significant Australians who have made a contribution to the community in their fields and who also happen to be Christian. We need to pray that many who have no contact with Christian people will be moved to come and will want to know more. The stories will be inspiring and the results could be life-changing.”

There will also be prayer for Anglicare and for the followup of those who have already had contact with Anglican churches as a result of Connect09.

Lunch will be available for a gold coin donation. Parking is $13 for 5 hours in St Andrews Carpark. The Prayer Day will finish by 2.00 pm.
