Allan Fife, Chairman of the Anglican Retirement Villages (ARV) Board, has announced the appointment of experienced metal industry executive Mr Rob Freeman as ARV’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Freeman will replace retiring Chief Executive, Mr Ken Barber.

“Mr Freeman is no stranger to ARV.” Mr Fife said. “He was a director of ARV between 2004 and 2007 and took an active interest in all aspects of ARV's care delivery. During his board tenure he chaired the Finance Committee.”

Rob Freeman has held a number of senior executive roles for some of Australia’s biggest companies. He was Managing Director of Capral, Australia’s leading supplier of aluminium products and systems, from 2005 until March this year.  He was previously executive General Manager of OneSteel Limited. And in his earlier career was a NSW-based managing partner for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Mr Freeman is married to Judith and has four children. He is an active member of Narraweena Baptist Church and is a keen ocean swimmer.
