The Easter for Kids resource book is packed with ideas to make Easter a memorable and Christ-centred experience for kids. It contains a variety of teaching material including scripts, songs and activity sheets.

This is a comprehensive kit of children’s resources designed especially for Easter. It includes photocopiable blackline masters and a very well produced CD with original music and overhead song sheets.

During the Easter school holidays many churches give their regular Sunday school teachers a break. For the bewildered stand-in Sunday School teacher this kit will be ideal. As a Christian school teacher, I am also keen to present the message of Easter in an interesting and meaningful way. However, the end of term is usually hectic and so it’s great to find a resource package that contains all I need.

In this context I have found the kit very easy to use. The materials compare well to the existing resources such as those from Scripture Union.

The activities will especially engage infants aged children. But more importantly these are not merely fun activities but will clearly point the children to Jesus.

I do hope Youthworks keep producing kits of this type. One area they might look at is special resource books for upper primary. I have found that there is a dearth of materials for the 10 to 13 year olds. They are beyond colouring-in worksheets but find the John Dickson-style teen material a bit too deep.

Overall, the Youthworks’ Easter resources are well-aimed, and will work well for children in the target group aged 5 to 10.
