Anglican Diocese of Sydney
16th November 2006
Anglican Bishop of South Sydney, Robert Forsyth will present the Sunday evening programme on Radio 2CH, AM 1170, from 9.00pm until midnight this coming Sunday evening and next Sunday, 19th and 26th November.
Themed as a Programme of Care and Concern, this programme is really the only talk back show on 2CH, which specialises in Easy Listening Music. It is one of the station’s highest rating weekly shows.
The shows’ regular presenter, Ross Clifford will be away from Sydney on those two Sunday nights as he undertakes his duties as National President of the Baptist Union of Australia.
Robert Forsyth presented a radio programme on Sunday evenings in Adelaide during the 1980s while he was on the staff of the prestigious Holy Trinity Anglican Church, North Terrace.
“While this is not the normal pad of an Anglican Bishop, I appreciate this opportunity to talk to average Sydneysiders. They are down to earth, knowledgeable on community affairs, and pithy and pertinent in the their comments,” Robert Forsyth said.
“No one, whether he be politician, or community leader, or bishop can pull the wool over their eyes or persuade them to a viewpoint that is manifestly indefensible. I greatly enjoy and value these Sunday evenings with the 2CH family on 2CH AM 1170.”
