Archbishop Jensen announces the new Bishop of Wollongong

Last evening Archbishop Peter Jensen brought to the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Sydney the name of the person he seeks to appoint as Assistant Bishop to be the next Bishop of Wollongong. The clergyman is the Rev Alan Stewart, presently CEO of Anglican Youthworks in the Diocese of Sydney.

Sydney Synod will debate the Anglican Communion today

The Synod of the Diocese of Sydney will meet again today from 3.15pm. Synod meets in the Wesley Theatre, 220 Pitt Street, Sydney. The major debate to be held today at 8.00pm will be focussed on the Anglican Communion. The Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Peter Jensen will make a statement to the Synod concerning the Anglican Communion.
