William Hurlbut MD, an advisor to President Bush on bioethics, will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson, Archbishop Peter Jensen and Archbishop George Pell at a public rally this Sunday.

They will be speaking to the public about the Government’s controversial bill allowing the destruction of human embryos in scientific research, which will be voted on later this month.

Dr Hurlbut is a physician and Consulting Professor in the Program in Human Biology at Stanford University. His primary areas of interest involve the ethical issues associated with advancing biomedical technology, the biological basis of moral awareness.

The rally is being held on Sunday 11th August in the Wesley Theatre at the Wesley Centre, 222 Pitt Street, Sydney. Doors will open at 2.00pm
