The state funeral for Sir Roden Cutler, VC AK KCMG KCVO CBE, former Governor of New South Wales will be held at St Andrew’s Cathedral, George St, Sydney at 12pm on Thursday 28th February 2002.
Sir Roden died on Thursday 21st February, aged 85.
Archbishop Sir Marcus Loane, Archbishop of Sydney from 1966 to 1982 and a long-time friend of Sir Roden, will preach the sermon at the Service.
The Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Peter Jensen, and Archbishop Harry Goodhew, AO, acting Dean of Sydney and former Archbishop of Sydney, will conduct the Service.
A large number of church, civic and political leaders will be in attendance.
Media will be permitted to record, photograph and film the Service from the Gallery of the Cathedral.
