Thanks for your prayer. I often do products analysis seeking some multi functional features or rare products you won’t able to buy them in the market place. That’s part of my interests to adopt new things

For example, Asian High pressure stove, which looks like a camping stove, but much more heavier. The power of the fame is stronger than commerical cooking stove. It can heat up the pan to smoke just in seconds

I have a question. Who have a espresso machine at home in here. I wonder 15 bars steam is it enough to make 10 cups quality cappucino? I wanta get a coffee machine for a period of time

Cheap home espresso kits will pull 1-2 shots of good espresso a time.  You then have to start again with the 3-4 shots, which means depressurising the group, removing the portaflter, changing he grinds, waiting for the boiler/thermoblock to cool, and then you are ready.

10 shots would take a looooong time.  Like an hour from when you switch the machine on.  If you wanted 10 shots on a regular basis you’d need an automatic machine with a 3 way solenoid and a built in grinder, and you are talking $1000 minimum.  The good ones are $2K .. :|

Getting back to the grout problem.

You could buy a few bags of sand and cement, mix in it the coloured oxide of your choice, seal the exisiting tiles with bondcrete and then pour the mixture over the tiles and smooth to the texture required. Then again paint the surface with Bondcrete or any other type of sealer once it has set and loh and behold no more trouble with your grout.

The other option you may find is to make up some old fashioned duck boards and cover the floor in them - that way the grout will be out of sight and your mind will be at rest, and you will have less of a step when getting out of the bath.

Well Ladies & Gentlemen, the results are in!

(Apologies for the delay - I just moved house Fri/Sat/Sun).

Anyhoo, the mould is dead. Long live the King.

I used Angela’s technique:

[quote author="Angela"]I’ve checked another book (11 year old wedding gifts) and it recommends
[quote author="& Wedding Present Book-thingy"]
revive the grouting between the tiles using a little bicarbonate of soda mixed to a paste with bleach. Apply the paste with a toothbrush and leave for several minutes. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth

So, thanks Angela! (Mind you, I had to use a stiff brush post-bicarb paste rather than the soft cloth, but hey, close enough!)

When I started this thread, I thought to myself, “I bet Angela will have an answer for this!”

So thanks, Angela, for proving me right! And my old bathroom thanks you! (Pity we’re not living there anymore to enjoy it!)

And thanks too, for everyone else’s contributions

ps (is the shortened version of Angela: “Ang” or “Ange”? And is it rude to shorten someone’s name without permission to do so?)

What do you mean by “holiday”?
Have we got a break from lectures? Yes
Are we not working? No

Yes, but now that the essay which was due today is handed in, there is now no official work. So as for me I am now on a procrastination break for the next 3 weeks.

But Rod, surely you’re doing an hour each of Hebrew and Greek every day? not to mention catching up on your prescribed reading.

How did the essay go, btw?

Come on, everyone, the SOCKS. I was going to ask about grubby white collars next, but I am starting to worry that no-one here at Anglican Media is up to it!

If things don’t look up I am going to find a Presbyterian site.

Now, you see, I’d have thought the baptists would have a better reputation for washing…

ok, ok.

Boil them in a saucepan with some slices of lemon. Alternatively, add some dishwashing powder to your washing machine when you wash them.

Adam,

I’m sooooooo very pleased to be of assistance. The combined wonders of an age old cleaning remedy and this new fang-dangled technology known as the internet did the trick. Oh and let’s not forget good old fashioned elbow grease on your part. What a man!!!!!!

Mind you in a former life, ie, pre-children: I did historical research for a number of historians (none of their books made the best seller list). So when someone wants a bit of information on anything I start growling and sniffing the ground, turning into a bloodhound until I find the scent and go in for the kill.

My posts on the All About Angels thread might have been off (and thanks Adam for your gentle way in dealing with my misinterpretation of scripture) so I please to know when it comes to cleaning .....Oh dear, I’m prattling… it’s time for a cuppa me thinks.

PS Gordon I’m trying to find the scent for a whitening remedy for dirty white socks. Woof
