I had two games of scrabulous with Abraham before the powers that be banned North Americans playing with people from outside that hallowed, financially astute zone.

what keeps you going back to a blog?
new content
ideas
creative stuff
personal
juicy controversy

G’day Shane

The number one reason I subscribe initially is that the blogservant makes it possible for me to do so!

I don’t yet understand any rss feed other than the one in IE7.

If anyone could point me to a more reliable one, I’d jump at it.

Lately IE7 has been crashing repeatedly, the rss feed stops working, but I can at least load it up and surf for a short while.

What blog readers do folk recommend?

I’m giving Google Reader a go at the moment.

I come back to ones that are interesting and make me think.
Have to admit I don’t often frequent blogs that seem to be off-base [i.e. that I disagree strongly with]

I come back to witty ones

I come back to ones that have frequently changing content

I enjoy reading blogs of people I know of

I think the blog I visit most frequently these days is
[drum roll please, Ringo? Oh, you don’t do drum rolls? Ok, what abotu a couple of taps, then]
Gordon Cheng’s

I like the current events comments
I love the family stuff
And he even likes music

Here’s some consistently interesting blogs
Sola Panel
Jean Williams [In all honesty]
Mr Cheng
All of Trevor Cairney’s ones, both overtly Christian and overtly about literacy
["Just in case” might get you there]
His daughter Nicole’s 168 hours
Doug Groothuis, The Constructive Curmudgeon
Adrian Warnock
Justin Taylor’s Between Two Worlds
Andreas Kostenberger’s Biblical Foundations
Ardel Caneday’s Biblica Theologica
The most consistently funny and thought-provoking blog is Tom in the box news network

The Better Bible Blog is interesting, though I don’t think I share all of their presuppositions

and what makes you unsubscribe?

Hi Shane,

I go for new ideas and, if it is someone I know, their personal stuff.

I unsubscribe for poorly written, bad spelling and bad grammar. Stuff which makes me have to read more than once to understand what’s being talked about.

Cheers,
Andrew

I always go back to Craid S’s blog.

It’s short, punchy, current topics and great links, and it seems like everyone is there.

I’ve stopped blogging cos i’ve realised I’m a tool as I read over what I’ve written, and it’s embarrassing :-)

Hi Geoff,

Did you blushingly mean to say :

I’ve stopped blogging cos i’ve realised I’m a tool as I read over what I’ve written, and it’s embarrassing :-)

?

Cheers, Kevin
