Hello Billy, I have checked out the ‘jesuschristians web site and quickly scanned the book. It disagrees with my own personal understanding of the teachings of Revelation, however I think I could read the whole book and enjoy it as a work of fiction.
I would not think it suitable as an ‘evangelical handout’ because the Gospel of Jesus is not fiction. Revelation in the context of Armaggedon, Beasts, Earthquakes and various cosmological upheavals is scarry stuff and driving people to Jesus through fear belongs back in the times of the inquisitions.(IMO).
The “Revelation of Jesus Christ” is just that. It is about Christ and His Lordship throughout history and beyond. It was written as an encouragement to Churches undergoing or about to undergo persecution. It was not written for the unsaved. In fact the first three chapters make this abundantly clear.
Jesus came into this world as a meek and lowly teacher. He was friend of the oppressed and liberator of the captive. He fulfilled all rightiousness and died in our place so that in His being raised back to eternal life we too can be raised to eternal life.
Though rather sketchy, that is the Gospel that brings people to the Lord in repentance and with a loving and greatful heart. So in my opinion, the book is not suitable for ‘street corner’ evangelism.
It will be interesting to see what others think.
I think that web site contains deceptively unbiblical teaching in areas such as inclusivism, so my best advise to anyone is browse that site with care.

Just to contradict myself; let me say that as a result of watching a film called ‘666 the man’ (or was it the beast), and a J B Philips translation, I found salvation in Christ Jesus. But then I never conform to the norm.
