‘Tis the season for Catholic bashing doesn’t seem to be a very intelligent thread title to me.

I have Roman Catholic friends who would read it and would likely be offended. (I haven’t asked, and after a few moments reflection, I think I probably won’t)

And, just like the feeling I get when I read the Daily Telegraph, it seems to me that the stuff actually being said in what follows has only the most tenuous connection to the headline.

So my suggestion is that the thread title be toned down a tad, by someone who is able to.

Let the people say “Amen”

Having said that I don’t want to be too insulting about the Daily Tele. The website actually appeals to me more than the SMH these days.

Yes, I take your point regarding the unnecessary offense to Catholics. If anything, Luke’s thread implies a criticism of the Protestant approach and doesn’t seem to be intended to offend Catholics themselves. Consequently I’ve changed the title to one which I believe still retains his meaning and well as his tongue in cheek tone.
