Bonjour,
ça va?

This is a challenge to see how good this SydAng forums network is....

What I am seeking - for a friend, not for myself - is an Internet forum a bit similar to these SydAng forums but that is

a forum for French-speaking evangelical Christians, in French

which can provide some mutual support and encouragement.

Any suggestions please?

Cordialement,

TZ.

“She just said that [skipping + playing] is what children do,” said Roland.

Tiffany wondered about this. As far as she could see, children mostly argued, shouted, ran around very fast, laughed loudly, picked their noses, got dirty and sulked. Any seen dancing and skipping and singing had probably been stung by a wasp.

This is not exactly what you are after.
But it is a place where you could find your answer.
This links is a discussion forum of people looking for decent French Christian music.
It seems some people find it difficult to find and instead find themselves listening to poorly translated versions of American worship music.

But if your friend posed their question to these guys you might get more help pointing you in the right direction.

cheers,
Heather.

Salut Tia,
Moi certainement, bien lire le français - c’est ok;
bien parler - c’est plus difficile.

Salut Heather,

Thank you both for your ideas - you enouraged me to do some more searching…

(I think I have found a French-speaking evangelical Christian site that is really useful: )

c’est www.topchretien.com - Top Chrétien Francophone

Ici des témoignages [some testimonies about the site]:

Ici Forums de discussion

The testimony/comment from Gérard in Gabon says (translated):

I am new to the Christian life. Top Chrétien plays an important role in my walk with Christ, through the testimonies of other Christians around the world and especially through the Thought of the Day. This site helps me when I doubt and leads me on the right path. May God bless you.

Trying to think of a funny reply about speaking in tongues, interpretations, and edification of all, but nothing really comes to mind. ;)

It makes a nice change from all the greek and hebrew flying around the forums.

Salut Tia,

I can read French reasonably fluently and everything I have read on topchretien.com so far seems to be orthodox evangelical Christian material.
[Of course, forum comments may not always qualify for that description 8-) ]

Naturally I am happy for CMS missionaries or fluent French readers / native French speakers to assess the topchretien.com site too.

I also hope to contact some of the CMS missionaries directly for a related reason.

Terry
