One of the things I’ve attempted to do while on holidays is get a copy of Terry Pratchett’s short story, The Sea And Little Fishes. It is one of several short stories included in a collection edited by Robert Silverberg.

Trouble is, the collection has been done in two differing sizes. One is a huge thick volume titled “Legends” and costs $39.95AUD (retail) - if I bought it I’d end up buying all the other stories in it too (by other sci-fi authors not just Pratchett). The other is a much thinner volume titled “Legends III” with less stories (though still including the Pratchett one) and costs a lot less - around $19.95AUD.

Wish I could find a copy of the thinner volume in Sydney bookstores! Grrr…

“She just said that [skipping + playing] is what children do,” said Roland.

Tiffany wondered about this. As far as she could see, children mostly argued, shouted, ran around very fast, laughed loudly, picked their noses, got dirty and sulked. Any seen dancing and skipping and singing had probably been stung by a wasp.

Have managed to order the volume I wanted through Borders, after all.

They were very helpful, and so far I’ve only had to pay $10AUD (the price of the book).

If all goes well, it will arrive by Easter...so happy!!
