Are you sure that that’s as far as you went back? On the “Calling all book reviewers” thread, for example, it shows me that there are three pages, but only the first post on page one is showing.
What has happened to the god’s involvement/responsibility in sin thread? It seems to have vanished off the top ten. I can access it when I get the email notification, but the only post visible is the first one, yet is still says there are two pages worth of posts?
Hi Andrew,
The last post was Craig Schwarze (08/11/2007 10:05pm) before we took a backup. This is the backup we we used today to recover the database.
Cheers,
Robert
Hi Robert,
That’s not what I get!
This shows a thread, started by David McKay, has three pages, but only the first post, on page 1, is showing. What other posts do you see?
Heather Smith’s “I challenge the girls” thread is another one. Eight pages, but seven of them with no posts.
Again, Heather’s “Counting Church Plants” thread. The sidebar listing latest discussions shows that David McKay was the last poster (sorry, David, I know that you don’t play the bugle!) but only Heather’s initial post is showing.

And Mumma Bear said:

And Baby bear said:
“And somebody’s been eating my porridge......and they’ve eaten it ALL UP!”
I was just going to bump up my thread of “Counting Church Plants” and it disappeared entirely. (Sniff)
I got my notification of a reply to that “Church Plants” thread. It quotes the reply
For those who have been away for a few days ....... you may or may
not have realised that the above questions were answered in another
dimension by Jeremy H.
[Meaning there was a computer crash and some stuff got lost.]
So to get this thread a happenin agen..........
I wonder what people’s thoughts are on the following.
When does a church plant cease to be a church plant?
(Frivolity totally acceptable.)
Heather.
but when I click on the link to go to the thread, there’s (still) nothing other than your original post there!
Woe to me for I am a scorned contributor who comes from a forum of scorned contributors…
Except for Geoff Chambers’ opening post on the “God’s involvement/responsibility for sin” thread, all subsequent posts do not appear. There were at least a page or 2 of posts. I just posted on this thread and guess what? It doesn’t appear even though my name now appears as the most recent author on the community forums home page.
I was wondering where that post went. That’s the one I was typing this afternoon and as soon as I hit the “submit” button everything went ........ vamooooooosh......gone.

And some people thought being dumped by a “friend” on facebook was bad. Losing one’s thoughts on a forum can be disconcerting too!
But in all this frivolity ........ our trusty forum gurus please note ....... we are enjoying the fun in playing with words regardless.
You can take away our forum posts .... but you can never extinguish the spirit of a sydang forum poster ------ CHARGE!! (with spear in hand and a face of determination to subdue the beast that is a forum! Hrumph....grunt....stomp.....take that ....... and this ....biff ....... boff.....kapowee.
Today, I received an e-mail notification about a reply on the SA Writers in the papers thread (or whatever it is called). I clicked the link in the e-mail and there was no post on that page.
I decided to go through all 73 pages, and, as I expected, apart from the first post in the thread, there is nothing on any page.
