Do we see GOD, the Father, Jesus, or the H.S. in heaven?

Goes to show it’s always worth asking.  It’s also turned out to be a good conversation starter at work even when scripture has gone (to my reckoning) really badly - perhaps even especially so since it’s apparently obvious when I walk in the front door at work.  I hope the good weeks are obvious too.

Yeah, I’d probably head for an after dinner port after the bad ones except that I get home around 10 am! This week was “Book week dress-ups” and they were all in costume. Being in fancy dress seems to equal the sugar content of about 4 Redskins and a Creaming Soda.

But what will happen as oil extraction actually slows down each and every year after the peak? Put simply, the economic consequences will be catastrophic. It will be like the 1970’s oil crisis, but this time it is here to stay.

Hi Dave,

I can’t quite fathom out what that ‘parable’ in your last sentence is supposed to mean. And why be so disparaging to the North American Indians, paleface ?

Perhaps you should have got in the spirit of the thing and gone in fancy dress too. As you like to wear your cause on your sleeve, perhaps you could have gone as an oil can - as in “The Wizard of Oz” ?

Cheers, Kevin

;-)

At the Zone, my other kids ministry, there are these year 5 girls that love to go up to the North Epping shops after school on Fridays, buy and eat 4 Redskin lollies (sugar sticks with red colouring, the best kind) and a Creaming Soda to wash it down (sugar water with red colouring, the best kind).

By the time the Zone starts at 4:30 they are jumping up and down on the spot with glazed eyes, “Hi Dave!!!!!!!!! We’ve had 4 Redskins and a Creaming Soda!!!!!!” (Giggle, giggle, giggle). I think my huge theatrical sigh and lowered head as I walk away just amuses them even more. They don’t realize it’s serious. ;-)

So I was just comparing the effects of sugar verses costume.

And just for the record, I cannot mention that which is not allowed to be mentioned.
