I watched the David and Margaret show on Sunday last week. My sister is called Margaret, see and also I was waiting to see The Einstein Factor.
Interested to listen to the discussion about the film Knocked Up. It is being criticsed because the girl who got pregnant after a drunken one-night-stand, did not consider abortion.
The director of the show was forced to align himself with the “pro-choice” people to keep everybody happy.
Huh? That wasn’t the impression I got at all. The director said he was personally ‘pro-choice’, but for the sake of the story in the movie the woman had to keep the baby. If she had an abortion, there would be no story! It wasn’t that the movie was being criticised because she kept the baby, the (pro-choice) director just said he was surprised how often other people were surprised the character didn’t get an abortion, which I thought was quite interesting too.
I saw this film the other night (I reviewed it recently on my blog onerayhill.blogspot.com) and found it too long but quite funny.
The abortion issue did come up in the film when the mother of the girl who fell pregnant urging her to have an abortion and wait for the right man to have a `real baby’. For the type of film it is though I didn’t really think about whether she should or shouldn’t have - it would have been a very different or very short film if she had.
This is really weird. After a kind of stressful week I looked at your photo link and started laughing!!!
Then after about 2 seconds I took hold of myself ..... and said ..... “That’s disgusting!!”
Then another 2 seconds I pondered ...... do you think they did that deliberately?
Then another 2 seconds .... I laughed ...... and thought don’t be so serious ...... it probably was planned that way to shock people and the 20-something staff inside are laughing their heads off.
But so I don’t get into trouble on this forum for my sometimes earthly humour I have to say ...... It’s still disgusting!! (I blame it on my dear hubby making me watch all those terrible BBC rude English comedy shows, and the science fiction shows, and the red dwarf shows etc.)
“You’re terrible Muriel (John)” If I get into trouble, John, its your fault!
Heather, as the Romans did NOT have a sense of humour, and as evolutionists will tell you that they didn’t even have a funny bone in their body, then that entire sentence is unable to be translated. Do not be fooled by Terry’s attempt to lead you astray with his dubious words ! ( He “finkus issus - meus thinkus” )

I had been thinking of removing my previous post.
But the blows have been softened with yet more humour which is kinda nice in a friendly forum kinda way.

Glad that you didn’t delete it, Heather.
No offence taken at this computer :)
Nor here. People read far too much into forum posts. I thought that everyone reacted with good humour and in the right spirit.
However, I have considered removing the link. I put it up to give people a chuckle, not to offend them. There wouldn’t be too many threads where it was appropriate, but this is a relevant and appropriate thread. If anyone would prefer me to remove it, just let me know and I will.
