Hi everyone,

I can’t find “The drought” thread so I’ve started a new one.

It’s raining beautiful, delicious, abundant rain in Wagga. The sort of rain that soaks into the ground. I hope other country towns are enjoying the downpour.

Praise God for His continued mercies. Rain is predicted up to and including Friday. Hooray!!!!!!!!

Please continue to pray and do so with overflowing thanks for this rain.

cheers
Angela who is enjoying the rain falling on her tin roof

Is everyone/anyone getting the same wonderful rain that is pouring on Penrith at the moment?  I spoke to friends holidaying near Tweed Heads earlier this morning, and they are getting it too.  A great blessing to us.  (And I even had the sense to put my washing in the tumble dryer last night.)

Praise God.

One of my best friends just found out that four of her family died in the Newcastle floods last night. I don’t think any of her family is Christian. Please pray that they could somehow be comforted, and that they might see God’s love and hear his gospel through this.

Danni, I also will be praying; our joy at receiving the rain we need is greatly diminished when we hear of these tragedies.

They’ve finally released names. I didn’t know the daughters were only two and three. These rains could have been so welcome if it wasn’t for the eight that have died.

Dannii,

My thoughts are with your friend, her family and yourself; and everyone who has been adversely affected by these events.

I have just heard that Maitland is being evacuated; and my immediate thoughts were of Mr. Kirsop & his family.

I hope that the levi banks hold, and that the town is spared the damage which has devastated so much of the Hunter region.

After so many years of drought - now this.

thank you for your thoughts, I am well away from the floods but my office is in the affected area- though most unlikely to be affected itself. Some people have been evacuated though whether that is a precaution or their houses will be damaged is uncertain.

Pray for those who will be running the evacuations. police ses and all the rest of them

Mr Kirsop and his family immediately came to mind when Maitland was first mentioned. I am glad to hear that you and your family are unaffected, Mr Kirsop.

This rain has brought such bittersweet results. May God’s mercy and grace abound in the midst of the heartache and the relief that has resulted.

Last Friday the sister of one of our Campus Bible Ministry (CB) girls was in a serious car accident. The result of that accident is that she is in hospital and remains in an unconscious state. Heidi (CBM’er) has asked for prayer for her sister and her family during these very difficult times. This is all the information I know at the moment so can we please remember Heidi and her familiy in prayer.

- Please pray for the speedy recovery of Heidi’s sister and that there would be no further complications or injury.
- Pray for God to give wisdom to the Doctors so that they may treat Heidi’s sister effectively.
- Pray that God would comfort Heidi and her family during this anxious time, and they may have his peace that transcends all understanding (phil 4:6-7)

We serve the living and almighty God and nothing is impossible with Him.

In Christ,
George

Ray,

This is heartbreaking news. Prayerfully interceding for this girl and her family before our gracious and caring God is a privilege.

Your prayer request deserves it’s own thread. It will not get the attention it deserves here. I have given it its own thread titled Serious Car Accident.

I’ve sent you a PM.

prayerfully
Angela
