Hi Guys just want to ask if you can pray for us please…

On Dec 29th I will be leaving Lee behind as I travel to Japan for a month, not returning until 30th of Jan. I wish I could take him with me but this is not permitted for the duration of the study trip that I will be attending… I will have limited access to phone and email..

Please pray that things on the home front where Lee will be staying will remain calm and that his terrible memory will not come into play when it comes to paying the bills and similar things.

Please pray also that our thought lives and eyes will also be kept pure in this long time of absence and that we won’t worry too much about each other…

Please pray also for safe travel as I am a little nervous as this is the first time I have travelled overseas by myself… But I can speak the lingo semi-reasonably so I can ask for help if I need to…

I am leaving LATE tomorrow night (WA time) - am nervous yet excited…

Please pray for safe travel and things detailed in previous post.

Please pray also that I will live my faith out away from home and be a good witness to all those I interact with esp. the family I will stay with for the first 11 days of my trip.

Tracy,
I will pray for your Japanese sojourn Tracy, but please pray for Lee whilst you are away. I man alone in a women’s world needs plenty of God’s help.

Tracy,
Oh, I’m sure Lee is quite safe in the company of women. It is just, from long experience in the past as a batchelor, that a lone man needs a womens protection in what I believe to be a womens world.

[moderator hat on]

Is this on topic Doug? I think we should leave this as a prayer thread for Tracey and Lee, and if you want to start a new thread on “Feminism and the single man” or similar, please feel free to do that in the “General Discussions” part of the forums.

Thanks in advance.

Tracey,

I have been praying for you and Lee. Sorry it’s taken me this long to let you know.

Jesus’ promises become all the more dearer and all the more precious in such times. His promise to always be with us is a great source of comfort and assurance to and for me.

When I have been separated from my husband because of work, I find that I stop taking for granted the blessings of married life. Enjoy a second honeymoon when you are reunited.

cheers
Angela

Hi Tracey-in-Japan,

Where in Japan are you? My husband worked as an ESL teacher in 1989 while living on Shikoku island and his brother was a missionary in Sapporo, Hokkaido in the late 1990s.

Any updates to pray over?

I hope you are thriving in the love and mercy of our Lord.

cheers
Angela

Tracey is getting back on Tuesday morning 7 am WST and we’re both looking forward to her getting home. The conference wasn’t as great as she thought it would be so I think for her it made her homesickness that bit worse. She made some good friends there though so we might head over to NSW to visit them, if we head over, we’ll make sure that we organise to catch up some of you folk.

Pray for Tracey this week in regards to work, since she has to go to work the day after she lands. Pray she will get some sleep on the plane and that she can make it through the first week (which is a prayer valid for any teacher).
