A while ago I was debating with an atheist online, and I challenged him to read Marks gospel. I wanted to give him a link to a nicely presented version of it online, but I couldn’t find anything.

So I have taken the text of Mark from the NET Bible and put it in a blog, nicely formatted and without verse numbers. I’m pleased with how it came out, and I hope others find it useful -

Hi Craig.

I have been reading that there is a bloke who reckons every single pericope in Mark is a chiasm .

I’m not convinced yet, but it’s an interesting theory.

Do you like The NET Bible as a text? I prefer its notes to its translations. Still happy with the TNIV as a bible to read.

I’d heard that too David. But sometimes I think people see chiastic structures where there aren’t any…

I don’t mind the NET. The main reason I used it is because they are more relaxed on copyright issues than the “commercial” translations…

Hi Craig.
I’ve been using it for years and own a big bulky copy of the first incarnation of it. They posted it very cheaply, despite the weight.

I bought the hard copy, because I couldn’t really show people at church something that is on the internet!

One man bought a copy.

I’m not a good salesperson.
