This interview of John Piper is terrific.

If you see Mark as a red-neck, you may get a different view of him as he gently chats with John Piper about influences on John’s life.

Whose Driscoll, not been in Melbourne, any good for full forward ‘cause the Bullies sure could do with one!

To paraphrase Mick Malthouse, after tonight there will be ten teams who will wish they were the Bulldogs. And after next weekend, there will be twelve!
Don’t worry, they were all a bit star struck last night, now they have got the novelty thing out of the way they’ll be fine. I think we’re playing the Swans next week. And we’ve flogged them twice already this year.
Having seen Driscoll last week, I doubt he’d make it as a full forward. A bit short for the big marks.

Hi Jean,

Well he got top marks from me at BYPJ !

Also, I have been stating for over 15 months that ‘2008 is the year of the Hawks’.

Cheers, Kevin

You would no doubt be aware that the mighty Bulldogs were the other grand finalists when Hawthorn won their first ever premiership. Once in a lifetime is quite enough. It does not need to happen again.
So far this year it’s one all in Bulldog/Hawks matches. I hope we get the chance to do it again, but properly this time. Earlier in the year we shut Franklin down, this time he kicked almost the exact margin. Without Franklin, Hawthorn are just another team. He really is an amazingly good player but he has had a couple of quiet games. I wish him no harm, but he really should have to have a meeting with the judiciary for that cheap shot. Will they charge him? If not, why not? If he misses a game, can Hawthorn win?
