I am not saying this dynamic experience of the Word of God is in any way conflicted with the plain reading of Scriptures, I am simply pressing the point that there has to be room for a larger view in the idea of The Word of God than that which is limited to the written words of Scripture.

I think your view of scripture must be quite small indeed. I find it hard to truly listen to God’s word and obey it. It would probably take me a thousand lifetimes before I had exhausted what God’s written word is saying to me. I personally have no time to look for God’s words in the wider world when there is so much in his written word I have yet to really listen to and apply to my life.
