Hi Ray,

I’ve been praying that God continues to provide all you need for “life and godliness,” including a job so you can continue to be generous to our generous God.

Hang in there, brother

Tomorrow I have a job induction with Macquarie bank and probably an interview as well.

I simply have no clue what I will be doing at there.

There is no job description and pay rate attachment (It’s a on-going contract role)............

What I know is the agency put my resume forward without telling me what the position is. They only told me it’s within Fund group and ask me get there tomorrow.

Thx for praying

Let’s see what happen tomorrow, I don’t know what to expect. Let’s see God’s will.

Without an interview, I got an on-going contract job with Macquarie Bank doing Funds redemption and Payment banking.

That’s what I know so far, I don’t even know I start my job today, I thought I supposed to have an interview at there.............

Well, this is not exactly the role I want to do but I hope this role can keep me survive for the next couple months.

Great news Ray. As you say, it might not be your dream job, but it will keep you working.

That’s great news indeed Ray. Looking forward to hearing how it progesses. I am guessing that the hours will allow you to attend those other groups you attend - and didn’t want to miss out on.

Cheers, Kevin

Macquarie got a pretty long working hr culture. The official working hr is between 8.45-6pm, 1 hr lunch break. Yesterday (Fri), I left work at 6.30, half of the people in our floor is still working and they don’t get paid for overtime. It seems like they sold their soul to the investment bank.............. This thing wouldn’t happen at MLC, at 5.30pm 80% of the staff will be gone.

Despite the working hour, Macquarie do provides good remuneration package to their staff. They have a range of cereals and breads, soft drinks, biscuits and even alcohol (Beers, red & whine wines) for staff.

I haven’t got the log on password for most of the progs i need to use, so I didn’t do much this week.

But I know I will be doing a lot of banking transactions when clients want to withdrew their money from their equity funds they choose.

This is the job I can earn some money and gain some valuable experience in funds admin. before I get in some analyst role I want to do.

This is also a job, for a single lonely guy like me; he can put more time in to reduce his pain of loneliness and emptiness in his heart.

Tiffany wondered about this. As far as she could see, children mostly argued, shouted, ran around very fast, laughed loudly, picked their noses, got dirty and sulked. Any seen dancing and skipping and singing had probably been stung by a wasp.

I have a pretty bad feeling about my employment is not going to last really long.....

For last 3 wks, I was quit busy at work. This week I didn’t do much and it seems the global economics is entering into recession. The equity market is just so weak.

They told me the contract is on-going but my current contract is signed upto October, I don’t really want to lost my job before Christmas.  Please pray for that.

Hi Ray,

Yes I will be praying for you.

However, do you think you should also start applying for other positions- even though you have one at the moment ( which may not last ) ?

BTW are you going to the Cathedral Spring Convention tomorrow ?

Cheers, Kevin

I’m going to Darling Harbour for the Art festival tomorrow lunch; at night I’m going to the Ignite film festival in the City but it seems going to rain over the weekend.

My Pc hard disk is dead. I’m waiting for the new hard drive arrive which I brought it on ebay 10 days ago.
