David
Even in his book “Telling Lies for God” Plimer is careful not to attack religeon in general, Christiantiy in particular. He does however regard YECS as something to attack and does so whole heartedly. He does this apparently from a heart felt belief that the YECS movement threatens science- in particular science in schools, and thus future generations of scientists.
A belief I share incidentally.

Hi Owen

I confess, it’s a fair cop, guv, I didn’t read the whole book.

My problem is that I’m inclined to disbelieve in evolution of species, but to accept that the earth is very old.

And thus I feel uncomfortable with the YECS and also with the theistic evolutionists.
