I got a job interview with JP morgan in this coming Fri. Please pray for me I have the right thing to say as I’m hopless on job interview. This role (Unit Price Analyst) is very import for me.
I really hope this is the right job for me, so I can use my skills and potential; and I hope this time I can say “good my bye” to my on going contract role at MLC.
As I submitte this issue to the Lord, please also pray that in whatever situation, I will keep trusting the Lord.
By the way, I still haven’t find a place to move yet. Everywhere is pretty expensive and my on-going contract job doesn’t give me any job security. Therefore, I have been saving my emergency fund.
I gotta say the job I’m doing at MLC is great. Thanks God for that.
It gave me enough time to study and help me to pay off my on-going living expensive
I went well for the job interview, I probably will get the response in a week time.
Last night the US market - Dow droped almost 400 points due to the unemploymnet rate surged to 5.5% from5.1%; oil surged $10 up to $139 a barrel. ASX will be expected to open lower on Mon. Looking for a full time job in fund management and financial market areas are increasingly difficult at this time. So please keep praying.
It said something like that “other candidate got more experience and skills for this position...........”.
Well, you know what the template letter looks like.
Well, thanks for the prayer anyways.
I guess I have to stay in the “jail” little bit longer and doing the thing I don’t like.
I’m quite disappointed.
I’ve two Masters under my belt, I work as a on-going contract employee (for 8 months), I receive no formal training, my wage is below average................
If I don’t get anything reasonable, I will go back to overseas to fast track my career next year for sure. There is no reason for me to stay here. I’m sorry for the ministries I’m supporting and doing.

Sorry to hear that you have not found other work as yet, and even more so that it is affecting you physically. Will pray for you, that you will keep trusting the Lord, even when it’s hard to see what his purposes are for you.

Despite the job is a perfect place to start my career.
I’m not sure will I take that position whether or not. I will be hurdled by those weird working hours, stopping me to go to the bible study and the Newtown mission each week.
Ray, I’m very pleased it went well.
If you are offered the position, maybe before deciding whether or not to accept it you should look at whether there would be another bible study you could attend (before you start work, for instance).
Some years ago I worked for an insurance company which had a quite active Christian lunch time fellowship and depending where you are there are groups that meet in the city and suburbs; they may be an option if the hours stop you from attending some of the things you currently do.
Please keep us posted on your progress.
