My wife and i enjoy Shaun Micallef’s brand of humour. So I was pleased to see Mark Hadley’s review of Newstopia. However, the TV guide says it has been replaced by a Muslim comedy show. Not sure of we will be able to appreciate the subtleties on this one. We might have to watch out for Shaun’s next season.

I enjoy Newstopia though I think like all Micallef’s work it’s has its high and low points,

Not sure about a Muslim comedy…
I can only conceive such a show to be one of two things:
1) So broad and watered down that no one enjoys it.
2) So niche that no one but Muslims get it.
Still I’m open to being proved wrong.

I’m trying to think of what a Sydney Anglican comedy would look like...all that’s coming to my mind is mildly sardonic preaching jokes.
