I think that the KEVIN07.com website is a great idea - and it looks great.

What do you think of HOWARD007.com??

I love the fact that a new congregation of an already highly successful Evangelical Church, in a growing area which has been crying out to have the Gospel brought to it for years, placed near a set of electorates which will be essential to the victory of either Labor or the Liberals (not as much as Queensland, but the Central Coast will still be important)

I actually just visited iagreewithdale.com - some very amusing videos on there!

But anyway, good work and congratulations to everyone at CCEC for the success of things so far!

(...just one thing, they spelt Labor in the context of the Australian LABOR Party wrong)

Surely it’s the LABOR Party which spells Labour wrong.  Another reason not to vote for them :-)

Ah, and this is where Wikipedia comes in and saves the day for the ALP ;)

[Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Labor_Party#History]
“...(The formal name Australian Labour Party was adopted in 1908, with the American spelling of Labor adopted from 1912.) While it is standard practice in Australian English to spell the word labour with a u, the Party has spelt it without since Labor cabinet minister King O’Malley thought he would “modernise” the name; at the time, it seemed likely that Australia would move to American spellings...”

Well the ALP don’t seem so keen on doing things ‘the American way’ lately. ( Some have even made it compulsory to be anti all things American ).

Another theory that I heard was that they spelt Labor that way because they were not interested in “u”.

Cheers, Kevin

I guess the prevailing world power in 1912 (at least from Australia’s point of view) was the UK ...perhaps the spelling change was a way for the Labor party to make a statement.

But Derek, to make a statement wouldn’t the current lot need to have something worth saying - like a policy of their own maybe ?

It’s dismall innit?
I wouldn’t vote for Howard and Bush Inc if you paid me to. Now I know his govt. has the integrity of a cat, but I am left to ponder the contender. I wish he could just be a tad less driven by the Labor machine and let us see a bit more of the thinker that did those articles in the Monthly magazine.

I actually thought your post was really clever. I thought you were showing Kevin that you indeed can make a statement without having something worth saying...You said nothing at all, but the statement your post made was life changing.

However it turns out it was no more than an accident.

cheers

… I like to say something witty ...

Derek, some years ago there was a very tiny politician. He was so short that he was often referred to as a half-wit.
