[PR] It’s just a little thing (Prayer needed)

It IS just a little thing, the skin cancer above the end of my right eyebrow.  It is being removed on Friday and a piece of skin from behind my ear is being grafted into its place.  About a one hour operation.  Followed by an entire week at home (I thought I’d be back at work on Tuesday!).
It is a basal cell carcinoma, and I’m assured that if you have to get cancer, this is the absolute best kind to get.  Nevertheless, I would greatly appreciate prayer, for me and for my surgeon Angelo Preketis.  (My sister in law is a theatre sister at the local hospital and assures me that he is the best.)

And of mine, too.

“She just said that [skipping + playing] is what children do,” said Roland.

Tiffany wondered about this. As far as she could see, children mostly argued, shouted, ran around very fast, laughed loudly, picked their noses, got dirty and sulked. Any seen dancing and skipping and singing had probably been stung by a wasp.

Thank you; surgery went well, and I am now wearing a particulary fetching turban which partly covers my right eye.  I am having a little pain where the cancer was cut out and also where the skin graft came from, but am otherwise fine.  I can’t wash my hair until after I see Angelo on Wednesday, but that is a minor inconvenience.
I have greatly appreciated the many prayers of my family and friends (both on-line and in person)

Jean,

Praise God for the good news!!! Enjoy washing your hair next week - it will seem like such a treat. Be assured of my continued prayers for you, your mum’s health and your dad.

cheers
