I was chatting with the secretary of the Anglican Historical Society yesterday after synod.

A suggestion that I threw up, which he seemed to like, but didn’t want to do all the work for, concerned finding out about the history of each parish.

The Society has a journal, which tries to publish short histories of the Anglican churches in various spots (they even did one recently of the Anglican church’s involvement with pirate ships in the Carribean). The secretary told me that one third of parishes have not been featured in their journal, & that the future of the journal is getting less guaranteed.

I suggested that maybe the AMS (that is you guys) might build a site on your web pages, for a page for each parish, where a short history can be recorded, with a few photos etc. In this way, the history of each church is recorded and kept, is available for historians, buffs & general public, & is accessible through sydneyanglicans.net.

What about it?

That’s a great idea Robert…

Tech types - I wonder if a Wiki would be the best way to do something like that?
