I was at the book launch on Tuesday night for “Introducing God”. I think it is an excellent book, and the Dean gave it a wonderful endorsement. You can watch the clip here -

It strikes me that this book is the new “A Fresh Start”. The latter was the book that everyone gave their non-Christian friends in the 80s. I think this is a great “giveaway” book. Some advantages -

* It is based around the “Two Ways to Live” structure, which means the essential content is already familiar to many Christians

* It is not too long (about 150 pages)

* It is written in a readable “journalistic” style

* Lots and lots of stories

People were buying the book by the handful of Tuesday night. I bought 4 myself and will give them all away very soon. As the Dean said, there is no cringe factor with this book.
