Good review of “The New Puritans” by Neil Cameron in this months SC - http://www.sydneyanglicans.net/culture/reading/the_new_puritans/ Neil delivers some very witty one-liners!

The only comment I take issue with is the following -

There is little or nothing particularly “puritan” of “fundamentalist” in character [in the diocese] outside of the traditional Anglicanism which others may have moved away from.

I believe the diocese certainly does have puritan leanings, and this is especially evident in it’s sacramentology and iconoclasm.

I’d add that we also tend to have a puritan ecclesiology, placing ‘church’ as the local congregation rather than the diocese or denomination.

But I’m not much of an expert on Puritanism.

Didn’t +Forsythe review that tripe last month?  I don’t see why it warrants another review.
