Everyone remembers the great Battle of the Signs between Barnies Broadway and the pub across the road. They attracted attention a got people thinking.

At All Souls Leichhardt we have one of those ‘changeable signs.’ Over the last three years we have created alot of attention and even some cred with the thousands who pass it every day. We have had a colour photo in Stay in Touch and a few mentions in Column 8 and in the local press.

Anyway, I started this thread to see if you can help me, ‘cause I’m running out of ideas. There are hundreds of ideas on the Web, but 99% are cringe worthy. 

Can we come up with some suggestions?  Please!

The sign that attracted the most attenion was:
“We put the mental back into fundementalism” (my student minster’s idea, based on Rev Lovejoy’s sign in The Simpsons “We put the fun back into fundementalism”.

Another, after Latham’s defeat, was “Come to me all you who are Labor and I will give you rest”.  Our Labor mayor even rang me to say how funny she thought it was.

A friend sent me an email the other day with a bunch of billboard signs which were run by the Church of Singapore. Not sure if there are copyright issues with any of these (??) but I thought some of them were quite good… or at least amusing!
