And lo, it so happened that my sister is to be married this Saturday.

And lo, a time of great stress and frustration came upon the household: daughter fought with mother; father fought with daughter; and the dogs got quite upset and barked a lot.

Please pray for my sister [Dani] and her fiancé Mick, and that all will go well on the day.  Also, that the great stresses of this time may be relieved in some small measure.  And finally, for my mother, who will weep and weep on the day and may be inconsolable for some time thereafter as her little girl leaves home.

Just want to make it clear that I’m not the Dani getting married this Saturday (at least no-one has told me I am!) ;) Glad to see there is another person out there who knows how to correctly abbreviate to Dani though (as opposed to Danni, Dannii, Danii, or Danny).

Will certainly be praying Ian!

I think it should be mandatory that all engaged couples sit down with the parents and future in-laws and have a public viewing of ‘Father of the Bride’
