[quote author="Chris Little"]I can help with pedantic ways! You don’t like accuracy but precision. That should clear things up.

Don’t presume to bandy semantics with me, my good man! I’m an engineer! I know what I mean - if I measured my age and my sons age again and used three decimal places then I would be precise to three decimal places. As I was measuring my age and my sons age to the day, just once, and expressing that as a decimal fraction of a year, then rounding off to three decimal places, I was being accurate to three decimal places.

Mutter, mutter, whippersnappers these days, grumble, grumble, don’t they teach them anything, whinge, whinge, would never have happened in my day ...  :P

Do you by any chance wish to start a cherry appreciation society?

...or another way of looking at it: You were being anal to three decimal places.

If there’s a decimal point, please feel free to come to it.

Being the good actuary that I am...I would insist on 5 decimal places of accuracy.

Well, being a computer programmer, I insist on declaring my age as 9793.786111

Well, I’m 2DE14380 seconds old (At the start of today)! hehehe

Oh, yeah, back on topic, my intro thing:

*Glenn Slaven, 24 years old, married with 1.6 children (2nd due in November)
*I work as webmaster/sysadmin for Voice of the Martyrs and do helpdesk for Planet Netcom on Saturdays.
*I go to Glenmore Park Anglican Church
*I don’t speak German.
*You want to talk about too many posts Warren, have a look at mine ! (although Rowen is closing in fast! :) Too much time spent online.

Oh, and what’s really sad is that I didn’t even have to think about where that quote before came from, I was already running the “and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me” line before I got to the question.  I have watched that movie too many times. :)

I’m Kat a long-term lurker, first time poster.

I’m 23 and go to St John’s Asquith where i’m involved in the youth ministry (www.logosweb.cx). I live with my parents still and try hard to show them what they’re missing out on by not knowing Christ.

I work p/t at 131500 taking complaints for trains, buses, ferries and taxis. Yes people really can complain about their train being 2 minutes late :) just be nice.. please?  And am studying small business management through tafe.

Likes: reading, buffy, LOTR, Kommisar Rex (although since Bradtner left it’s not so good), seeing people growing in Christ (especially younger people), movies that make you think, music,

Dislikes: Ice cream, people thinking kids ministry isn’t important or that kids can’t learn about God seriously.

Although i’ve never posted before i commonly come and read everything here and find it encouraging, challenging and refreshing. So, thanks to the regular posters for making it so.

Glad you decided to come out of lurkdom.. however you might have to explain your dislike for ice cream.. I mean we don’t want crazy people here ;)

Luke… I think you are going to have to introduce some sort of minimum level of qualification for membership to this forum.

I was (just) able to cope with Hannah being completely insensitive to ‘The Smoulder’....

But Kat disliking Ice Cream.... it’s really just too much!

;)

Great to have you on board Kat :) It’s wonderful to see all these gals popping up out of the woodwork!
