Peacemakers give students new priorities

Brothers who make international peace their business have visited a Sydney Anglican school, to the benefit of all the students. Eight members of the Melanesian Brotherhood visited Australia this past month as guests of SHORE and Anglican Board of Mission. The brothers have been heavily involved in the front line working for peace in the Solomon Islands.

Mission Focus on Ethnic Ministries

Sydney Diocese’s ethnic ministry has gone on show in the first evening of Synod on Monday night. Elements of the Diocese’ Persian and Sudanese communities joined in the display, which was opened with songs of praise by a Chinese choir from St George’s, Hurstville.

Shaun of the Dead

I thought Shaun of the Dead – a “romantic comedy… with zombies” – would be the perfect film for me. I assumed it would have a good dose of horror mixed with comedy that satirises the genre while still staying faithful to it. Shaun of the Dead is a parody of Dawn of the Dead, a horror classic from 1978 that was remade earlier this year.
